Taverna Sarbului

We visited this restaurant yesterday and while the food was really good, our overall experience was affected by the service. The waiter who served us had a condescending attitude and spoke to us as if we weren’t welcome or didn’t belong there. We ordered enough and made a decent consumption, so we were quite surprised and disappointed by the lack of basic friendliness and respect. A good meal should be accompanied by good service, and unfortunately, this wasn't the case here.

Loved this Serbian tavern! So much choice, especially if you're a meat fan. The setup is great, the staff are friendly and speak a bit of English, and it's nice and warm. Plus, the meat is seriously good!

Already a traditional brand in Bucharest and Romania. The restaurant offers heart warming and tasty Balkan food in a very relaxing and picturesque atmosphere. One can never fail by dining here with family and/or friends.

Nice place, without noise and loud music. Cozy terrace and the most appreciated thing was the attention to details. My wife received a nice surprise from the server. Chapeau

First time visit to Bucharest for work. This restaurant is in the walk from Hotel to office. So this evening we decided to stop off. Was disappointed no AC as temperature is high right now. But, we hadn’t realised that there is active misting in the outside areas which was really refreshing. Service very good. Food excellent and great value for money. Many traditional Romanian dishes to try. Atmosphere is good and clearly a popular place. Also live music. Recommend a visit if you are in this part of Bucharest.

After many years I went together with my family, this time, to Taverna Sarbului. The atmosphere was excellent, like Saturday evening, the serbian music fit the atmosphere. The waiter was very nice and understood very well what we want. Well done!

My second time having Serbian food. I missed out on the branch in Sinaia so decided to visit the one in Bucharest. It was a stomach stretching meal. The spicy bread was fantastic and I really enjoyed the Chocolate Pancakes. Very typical Serbian affair and quite Authentic. Service was fast and efficient. Enough English was spoken to be understood. (Though it helped that I had a Serbian friend recommend the things I should get!)

Very tasty food in a convenient and ample space with rustic appeal and undersized ventilation. Staff was curteous and fast in its feet and food arrived quickly to the table, even though the place was half full with big orders coming. When steak was brought to adjacent tables and prepping continued the smoke was overwhelming.
